T&C

Tailored Financials is a coaching and training company designed to help service members and veterans take charge of their own financial future.

We do not provide financial advice or investment recommendations because that would contradict our deeply held belief that only you know what is best for your financial future.

Unfamiliar with Coaching? Here are some additional definitions:

COACHING IS THE APPLICATION OF POWERFUL METHODS AND CORE SKILLS TO SUPPORT YOUR DEVELOPMENT AND MAXIMIZE YOUR PERFORMANCE.

Coaching is a partnership with you at the center. I will sometimes play the role of teacher and facilitator, but when it comes to applying your new skills to your personal finances, you are the one and only boss.

Coaching challenges your assumptions about what you've been taught and how it applies to your life. This means that sometimes I will hold up the mirror in a way that will make you uncomfortable, but only when it will serve your learning and growth.

Coaching supports your experiments and improves your ability to learn from your experience. We will frequently check-in on how you are applying the skills to make financial decisions so that you can see what works for you and decide what you want to do differently in the future.

Coaching is not mentorship. My job is to help you uncover deeply necessary information — about yourself and your future — to help inform your choices and build the skills you need to achieve your financial goals. Unlike a traditional mentor, I will never tell you "what I would do" in your situation, because I am not in your situation. Only you know what is best for you.

Coaching also is not therapy. Discussing your financial goals and sometimes painful financial lessons can be emotional. We will attack your challenges head-on. And that work can become overwhelming or frustrating. It also can be exhilarating. We will work on mindset. We will acknowledge, respect, and work to overcome fear. However, the work to heal mental or emotional trauma is outside my skill-set. Over the course of our work together, I will be transparent and clear with you if I begin to feel that I am out of my depth. And, if you would like, I will do what I can help you identify the appropriate resources and support to keep you moving in the right direction.
